    Last year a couple of close “friends” thought it would be really funny to put on blackface a post a picture of it on facebook. Everyone thought it was hilarious…except for myself (obviously), and two friends of mine who called them out on it as well. They somehow didn’t think that it could possibly be offensive, because it was ‘just a joke’. And for a short while, I thought maybe that I had overreacted, and that maybe I was taking things too seriously.

    No one ever, ever has the right to tell me that I shouldn’t be offended by fucking BLACKFACE because it was “just a joke.” I can’t believe that I live in a world where that is not only okay, but I’m the one in the wrong for feeling uncomfortable. Think, and change. Seriously.
